Modeled after Doris Kearns Goodwin's best-selling book, the exhibition takes you inside the highest levels of the United States government as Abraham Lincoln and his cabinet struggle with the momentous issue of war. Doris Kearns Goodwin received the 2010 “Ken Burns Lifetime Achievement Award” on May 20 from the award-winning documentary filmmaker and Old Sturbridge Village in Massachusetts following a dinner in her honor.
